Tom Brady seems to be having a lot more fun than Bill Belichick

Tom Brady spent the first 20 years of his legendary career winning six Super Bowls with Bill Belichick and becoming the undisputed GOAT with the Patriots.

That all came to an end this past offseason, of course, when the two basically decided to part ways, with Brady going down to Tampa to join the Bucs and Belichick staying in New England to start a new chapter with a franchise that he turned into one of the best in all of sports.

While publicly Brady has said all the right things about his time with Belichick in New England, you have to think privately there is a small part of him that is tracking how his former team is doing while also trying to put up his own big numbers to make them feel jealous about what they said goodbye too.

And on this Monday morning, Brady must be laying in bed smiling because on Sunday Belichick suffered his worst home loss with the Patriots, who are now 2-4 and not very good at all.

While that was going on in New England, Brady was busy in Las Vegas throwing four TDs, including another one to Rob Gronkowski, while leading the 5-2 Bucs to a 48-20 win over the Raiders. He also took the lead over Drew Brees for most career touchdown passes, which isn't too bad for a 43 year old.

Brady's move south has come with so many challenges - no preseason games, offseason sessions being held over zoom, learning a new offense in his 900th NFL season, and more.

And you know what? He hasn't skipped a beat.

Belichick, meanwhile, has found things to be very different without Brady. The Patriots are in the midst of a three-game losing streak for the first time in 18 years. Their offense has been dreadful in those three losses and on Sunday Belichick benched Cam Newton after three interceptions.

Brady has to know what's going on with his former team. They are his ex, after all, and it's only natural to kind of take a peek and see how things are going for them.

But he's also focused on something that his former team isn't - winning a championship. A seventh Super Bowl would cement his GOAT status even more, especially doing it with another franchise at the age of 43. Plus, this year's Super Bowl is in Tampa and a QB has never led his team to a home Super Bowl.

The Patriots, meanwhile, are gearing up for what should be a lot of tough, cold, and dark days ahead in a season that suddenly looks like will be a lost one for Belichick and Co.

And you gotta think deep down Brady is laughing a little bit.
