West Ham are hopeful of concluding a £30million deal for Brentford's Said Benrahma and remain in the hunt for Bournemouth's Josh King.

Benrahma has ironed out issues over a bonus payment with Brentford and is scheduled for a medical with West Ham on Thursday after personal terms on a five year contract were discussed on Wednesday evening.

Manager David Moyes is hopeful of signing King also though Bournemouth are holding out for £16m for the Norway international after rejecting an offer of £13m earlier this week. King has interest from other Premier League clubs.

Benrahma enjoyed a standout season in the Championship last term with 17 goals and 10 assists.

Brentford have already lost  Ollie Watkins to Aston Villa in a £33m deal, with the young Englishman scoring a first-half hat-trick against Premier League champions Liverpool earlier this month.

King, who scored six goals and made four assists in an injury-hit campaign, was close to completing a move back to Manchester United in January but a deal failed to materialise.

Tottenham also explored the option of signing the forward as a back-up to Harry Kane but have since signed Carlos Vinicius.

West Ham's transfer activity has been quieter in comparison to their fellow Premier League sides.

Moyes had been desperate to sign an experienced defender and his wishes were granted on Monday with the arrival of Craig Dawson on loan from Watford.

The club's other signings include Tomas Soucek, whose loan deal became permanent this summer, while Vladimir Coufal arrived from Slavia Prague.

Elsehwere in the Championship, Sheffield Wednesday, have rejected a bid from Brentford for Barry Bannan.
