'Dexter' is set to return to screens for a limited series.
The popular serial killer crime drama - which originally aired between 2006 and 2013 - has been revived by Showtime for a limited series of ten episodes, according to Deadline.
Michael C. Hall, who starred as the titular blood-spatter expert and serial killer, is on board to return to the programme for the new series, as will showrunner Clyde Phillips.

The limited series will go into production in early 2021, and currently has a tentative premiere date of late 2021.
Gary Levine, Co-President of Entertainment at Showtime, said that the network was only willing to revisit the "unique" character if they could find a creative take that was "worthy", and they have "found it".
In a statement, he explained: "'Dexter' is such a special series, both for its millions of fans and for Showtime, as this breakthrough show helped put our network on the map many years ago. We would only revisit this unique character if we could find a creative take that was truly worthy of the brilliant, original series. Well, I am happy to report that Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall have found it, and we can't wait to shoot it and show it to the world."
The original series followed Dexter Morgan, a complicated and conflicted blood-spatter expert for the Miami police department that moonlighted as a serial killer.
It's not yet known where the new series will pick up, but the original show ended after eight seasons with Dexter faking his death and living under a new name in Oregon after wrecking his boat and escaping from a hospital with the body of his sister, who had been shot and left in a coma, and having sent his son Harrison and love interest Hannah to live in Argentina.
