After more than 60 professional fights, Paul Daley has decided that his next walk will be his last.

Daley (42-17-2 MMA, 8-4 BMMA) was scheduled to take on Derek Anderson in Thursday night's Bellator 247 main event at Allianz Cloud in Milan, Italy, but withdrew after falling ill during his weight cut, weighing in 1.6 pounds over the 171-pound non-title welterweight limit on Wednesday morning.

Thursday, the 37-year-old Brit took to Instagram to address the incident and after some careful thought, has decided that his next fight will be his final one. No date or location have been announced, but Daley did say that it will be contested at a catchweight of 175 pounds.

"Forever a samurai. But soon we will put the blade to rest. After discussions and careful consideration with my family, it has been decided that my next fight @bellatormma will be my last. To be fought at a catch weight of 175lbs. Opponent and location to be confirmed. Health before Wealth, and NEVER COMPROMISE YOURSELF. ??????"

Since rejoining the Bellator roster in 2015, Daley has gone 7-4, picking up knockout wins over the likes of Brennan Ward, Lorenz Larkin and Saad Awad. The UFC, Strikeforce and BAMMA veteran also holds notable wins over Duane Ludwig, Martin Kampmann and Jorge Masvidal.
