How to pop a pimple yourself, according to Dr. Pimple Popper's tips Insider producer Celia Skvaril video chatted with Dr. Sanda Lee, aka Dr. Pimple Popper, to get her professional advice on how to pop a pimple at home. While Lee doesn't recommend that people pop their own pimples, pimple popping is a habit that many struggle to quit. With much of the world staying at home, people aren't seeing their dermatologists and estheticians regularly and may be fighting a higher-than-usual urge to pick at their skin. Lee offered her tips on how to best minimize the risk of scarring and further infection when popping your own pimples, like attempting to pop only superficial whiteheads and properly sterilizing the pimple and tools both before and after popping. Fall lovers, rejoice: The season of wearing cozy sweaters, whipping up delicious fall recipes, and watching the trees explode with brilliant colors is nearly upon us!
If you're one to look forward to chilly weather and leaf-peeping, then this fall foliage map is seriously going to make your day.
The interactive map, which is updated annually by SmokyMountains.com co-founders David Angotti and Wes Melton, helps pinpoint exactly when the leaves are expected to change in their area.
"The [2020] predictive fall leaf map helps potential travelers, photographers, and leaf peepers determine the precise future date that the leaves will peak in each area of the continental United States," Wes explained in a press release. "By utilizing the date selector at the bottom of the map, the user can visually understand how fall will progress over a region."
How cool is that?!

But before you start planning your fall foliage road trip, make sure you understand the map's limitations. Its creators warn that while the tool may show a state is at its "peak," that doesn't mean you're guaranteed to see an autumnal wonderland.
"There are areas of the country that don't really have many trees that are going to change brilliant colors," Angotti told WVNews. "I wish I could make fall happen in South Florida or in the desert, but at the end of the day, the map is basically showing when the temperature and precipitation trends would cause peak fall to occur in each of these areas."
In other words, take the map's predictions with a grain of salt dash of pumpkin spice. If you live in an area where the trees do change colors, then be sure to consult our list of fall Instagram captions before you post a gorgeous foliage photo. ??
