What a £200k home looks like in different parts of Merseyside

If you're looking for your dream home in Merseyside, you'll want to know exactly what you can get for your money.

Last year, most property sales in Merseyside involved semi-detached properties which sold for on average £184,024, according to Rightmove.

Terraced properties sold for an average price of £120,139, while detached properties fetched £310,499.

Merseyside, with an overall average price of £175,444, was similar in terms of sold prices to nearby Lancashire (£171,761), but was cheaper than Cheshire (£258,292) and Greater Manchester (£204,035).

We have analysed how far you can stretch a cool £200,000 where you live and there are some surprises.

Properties range from modern family homes to luxury apartments and even a six-bedroom house.

Here's what we found in Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, St Helens and Wirral.

Liverpool

If you're wanting to live in the city centre, you're going to have to pay for it.

With New York loft vibes, a stylish two-bed duplex apartment comes in at £200,000.

Situated on the fifth and sixth floors, owners will be treated to views from the lounge over Waterloo Dock.

You'll also be just a few minutes walk from The Royal Albert Dock and Liverpool ONE .
