Jamie Carragher has named ex- Liverpool teammate Sami Hyypia in his top 10 Premier League defenders - and credited his former centre-back partner with 'transforming' the club's fortunes.
The Finn was brought to the Reds in 1999 by Gerard Houllier, and won 10 trophies in as many years at Anfield, including the 2005 Champions League and the 2001 treble of the UEFA Cup, FA Cup and League Cup.

Carragher was asked to name his all-time top 10 defenders in the Premier League era for the Daily Mail, and former Reds defender Hyypia, who left Anfield in 2009, was named tenth.
