After enduring a tumultuous experience on social experiment Married at First Sight, Newcastle local Nicolas Jovanovic is moving on with his life.
"I went straight back to work after the show," the MAFS star tells 9Honey in an exclusive interview. "I just needed to get back to it."
Nic was 'married' to controversial participant Cyrell Paule during the show, with the couple clashing over Cyrell's fiery temper.

MAFS has been nominated for two TV WEEK Logie Awards this year - Most Popular Reality Program and Most Outstanding Reality Program.
Nic is excited to be attending this year's ceremony at The Star on the Gold Coast.
"I'm very excited," he tells 9Honey. "It's overwhelming, knowing that what I was a part of is award-worthy."
Nic admits he's only seen "bits and pieces" of past awards ceremonies.
"I've heard the after parties are where it's at," he says.

Always health-conscious after beating cancer twice, the 28-year-old says he's been focusing on working out and eating well in the lead up to the night of nights.
"I've been trying to stay on top of my training and diet, although I've been eating pizza for the past three days," he admits.

"When I told my mum I was going she was shocked and excited," he says. "She wished me luck but told me not to drink too much, and not to make a fool of myself.
"She's always hassling me," he says. "She's always worrying."
Nic will be heading up to the Gold Coast a day before the event to enjoy the best Queensland has to offer.
"I've been to Queensland before and it's always a good vibe," he says. "Everyone is chill and the saltwater keeps everyone happy.
"I just want to enjoy my night with friends and hopefully meet some really amazing people."
