The two looked equally stunning in tartan-printed outfits paired with black lowers. Kate (L) opted for an Alexander McQueen coatdress while participating in the St. Andrew's Day festivities in 2012. Meghan, meanwhile, wore a Burberry double-breasted coat for her trip to Scotland in February 2018; the visit was her first official public appearance alongside Prince Harry.

Both Kate and Meghan styled the white coat-look similarly - with muted make-up, no-fuss hairdos and heels. The Duchess of Cambridge sported a Max Mara wool number during a February 2015 visit to Portsmouth, England. The Duchess of Sussex, meanwhile, whipped out a Line the Label jacket for that all-important first official photo-call with Prince Harry (L) at Kensington Palace on Nov. 27, 2017, in London, England.

Back in 2011, Kate wore a straw pillbox-inspired hat created by the Whiteley Hat Company for Epsom Derby in June. Meghan kept her hair loose when she wore a Philip Treacy-designed felted wool hat, with a signature scroll, while attending the Christmas Day service in December 2017. Both women wore minimal make-up and nude lips.

Red can be a difficult color to wear but both pulled it off in style. Kate wore a stunning Preen dress, accessorized with the Queen's diamond, maple leaf brooch and red clutch, during the 2016 royal tour of Canada. Meghan chose a black tote and nude pumps for her appearance on the "Today Show," in July 2016.

Both these ensembles are fitted at the bodice and over-sized at the bottom. However, Meghan's semi-sheer white-knit top, worn to the 2015 NBC New York Summer Press Day, gave her outfit a different vibe. Kate wore a pleated, crochet-styled maxi dress, by Self Portrait, to a movie premiere in London, in November 2016.

In March 2015, at an event in Toronto, Canada, Meghan's white crop-top dress, paired with a blazer draped over the shoulders and black pumps had an edgier look to it, compared to the more modest Paule Kae skirt suit Kate wore for a February 2017 event in Wales. The Duchess of Cambridge paired her dress with tights and Stuart Weitzman Half-N-Half boots.

Kate often wore formal hats to state events but, every so often, she opted for something more casual - like this cowboy hat she wore in 2011, when visiting the Calgary Stampede Parade in Canada. Meghan, meanwhile, wore a straw hat during the 2016 Wimbledon Tennis Championships in London.
